Coptis chinensis Franch. (scientific name: Coptis chinensis Franch.), also known as: Weilian, Chuanlian, And Chicken claw, belongs to perennial herbs of ranunculaceae and Coptis Chinensis. Leaves base, hard paper, ovate-shaped triangular, tripartite, central lobes ovate-shaped rhomboid, pinniform deep cleft, edge with sharp serrate, lateral lobes unequal 2 deep cleft; Petiole 5 -- 12cm long.
 

Berberine Hydrochloride 97% powder is a yellow crystalline powder with broad-spectrum antibacterial activity. It has inhibitory effects on a variety of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including strong inhibitory effects on hemolytic streptococci, Staphylococcus aureus, Vibrio cholerae, meningococci, Shigella dysenteriae, Salmonella typhi, and Corynebacterium diphtheriae. Additionally, it has certain inhibitory effects on influenza viruses, amoebic protozoa, Leptospira, and some skin fungi. In vitro experiments have confirmed that berberine can enhance the phagocytic activity of white blood cells and the reticuloendothelial system of the liver.

Berberine Hydrochloride 97% powder is soluble in hot water, slightly soluble in water or ethanol, and insoluble in ether.
