Cyproterone acetate (CPA), known by the trade names such as Cyproterone, Androcur, and Andeca, is a synthetic steroidal anti-androgen, luteinising agent, and anti-gonadotropin. Because of its anti-androgenic effect of preventing endogenous androgens from binding to their receptors and inhibiting androgen biosynthesis, this drug is mainly used for the treatment of androgen-related diseases.

For men: to reduce the urge for sexual reversal. Anti-androgen therapy for prostate cancer that is not amenable to surgery.
