Calcium pantothenate is one of the B vitamins and one of the essential nutrients for the normal growth of organisms. Calcium pantothenate exists in three forms due to its chiral carbon atoms: DL-body (hybrid), D-body (dextro-body) and L-body (left-handed body). Only D-pantothenate calcium has biological activity, Appearance is white or slightly yellow needle crystal or Chemicalbook powder, melting point is 195~196ºC (decomposition), soluble in water, methanol, glycerol, slightly soluble in ethanol and acetone, hygroscopic, slightly sweet, but slightly soluble bitter. In terms of chemical stability, it is the most stable in an aqueous solution with a pH value of 5 to 7, relatively stable in air and sunlight, and less stable in acid and alkali.
